Responsibilities:

• Carrying out experimentation to implement product allocation opportunities at the bench under direction of direct supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Conducting pilot plant trials within the company facilities, at co-packer, customer or outside lab facilities.
• Providing technical and analytical service to potential and existing customers to generate new business and maintain current business.
• Contributing to the company’s sales and profit through the department activities.
• Working on projects at the laboratory bench for 75% of workday.
• Overseeing laboratory and reports issues with instrumentation, equipment, and safety to supervisor.
• Maintaining accurate laboratory notebook and updates on a daily basis.
• Interacting effectively with R&D groups outside of the company.
• Developing R&D projects with customers under guidelines and priorities developed by the President.
• Presenting experimental data clearly and accurately.
• Submitting call report to the supervisor within 48 hours after visiting customers.
• Submitting a monthly report to the supervisor at the end of the month.
• Collaborating with customers on improving their product recipes and processes.
• Promoting a cooperative and constructive atmosphere.
• Reporting any food safety related issues to the direct supervisor and/or a member of the food safety management team.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Food Science (Ph. D. a plus)
• 10 years of related experience
• Authored a patent
• Ability to multi-task with high analytical skills
