Responsibilities:

• Takes orders from customers by phone, fax, e-mail or EDI.
• Quotes prices and credit terms for orders obtained when known. Refers new quotes and purchases to salesmen
• Obtains credit information on prospective customers and forwards findings to accounts receivable supervisor.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
• Tracks sales orders, and advises salesmen of shortages and need for emergency shipments.
• Requests emergency orders from suppliers when needed.
• Does billing, from order entry, picking orders, verifying and invoicing customers for shipments. Files invoicing and corresponding documentation.
• Works directly with salesmen in the office and when they are on the road. Assists in all aspects of customer service.
• Prioritizes customer orders.
• Works directly with employees in shipping and receiving to ensure orders are received, pulled and shipped in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or above is preferable; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual in English and Japanese (at least business level)
• Basic math skill
