One of our clients, an Automotive Motor Parts company located in Chillicothe, OH is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager. The salary is $75-85K/yr exempt and experience in sales is highly desired.

Position Summary:

This individual collaborates closely with the Manager of Engineering, Production, Production Control, Administration and Sales regarding all Quality Assurance a tier one automotive supplier machining manufacturing facility.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Commitment to safety, quality, cost, delivery and management according to the business plan
• Provide leadership, motivation and planning for growth of individuals
• Strict adherence to the Environmental, Health and Safety guidelines and policies
• Associate evaluation, coaching/counseling and discipline
• Develop and report on the annual department business plan
• Manage departmental priorities according to the business plan
• Develop and monitor the department budget
• Develop annual department training schedule
• Support new model launches
• Responsible for the Quality Progress and monthly reporting
• Perform internal audits
• Address non-conformities and on time responses or HTR’s, DTR’s and YTR’s.
• Follow-up on preventive and corrective action requests
• Insure training is in place
• Lead the organization in IATF16949 Quality and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems compliance
• Serve as QMS Management Representative to facilitate Quality Management System implementation, compliance, conformance, training, maintenance, communication, continuous improvement and certification.
• Assist EMS Management Representative with ISO Environmental Management System implementation, compliance, conformance, maintenance, communication and continuous improvement.
• Ensure that documentation and design controls are appropriate
• Administering document control and configuration management system
• Overseeing established calibration and testing program
• Assisting the management team and provide QA support as necessary
• Attend shift meetings and others applicable to the position
• 5S (Sort, Set-in-Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain) your work space and 5S duties as assigned

Education and work experience:

• Ten (10) years of experience
• Skilled knowledge in testing concepts, tools and methodologies
• Industry certifications are desirable
