One of our clients - Global Logistics company is currently looking for a Client Manager. This position pays $50-60K per year based on skills and experience.
Position Summary
The Client Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and direction of a portfolio of assigned account relationships, overseeing the delivery of various agreed upon services based on company contract and customer specifications for the continued success of the business. These services may involve different phases of the supply chain and multiple vendors. Account portfolios generally consist monthly shipment activates for both strategic and small/mid-sized accounts.
Job Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management:
- Be responsible for building and maintaining a positive relationship with assigned clients
- Provide product and service information and answer other general account questions promptly and accurately
Account Leadership & Direction:
- Develop a strong understanding of the client’s business and its service requirements
- Provide leadership and direction to team members and oversee operational issues to ensure effective resolution
- Interact with the Dedicated Account Managers and exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Formulate customer forecasts, contributing to budgeting and business planning.
- Review all customer operations KPS’s to determine progress toward goals and objectives
Sales Management:
- Design and develop the overall strategy for growing and maintain the assigned client relationships, furthering the use and up-sell of products and services
- Look for opportunities to increase revenue and growth targets for accounts under management
- Focus on long-term Customer and company development
Client Expert:
- Consult clients on best practices and necessary system and process changes to achieve client goals throughout the year
- Make and maintain connections with marketing, sales and other strategic departments of assigned accounts
- Work directly with customers and act as advisor regarding services provided and resolutions
Other Duties include:
- Acting as key escalation point for support and service issues
- Making independent choices and implementing operating practices for individual customers
- Setting and running weekly client status meetings
- Maintaining quality assurance of client deliverables and activities
- Participating in Monthly/Quarterly Account Performance Review with branch management
- Assessing quality, productivity and performance of all services provided to assigned clients and employees
Summary of Required Qualifications:
- College Degree in a related field required
- 3+ years’ related experience in international shipping/logistics required (combination of education and experience may be considered) would be a plus
- Advanced-level Japanese language skills required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to effectively articulate ideas/concepts both internally and externally
- Proven client prospecting and relationship maintenance/growth skills
- Ability to develop strategies and tactics to meet existing and new clients' needs and provide customized solutions
- Demonstrated ability and flexibility in adapting to a constantly changing environment
