One of our clients - a Global Logistics Company- is currently looking for an Air Import Specialist. This position is pays $35-58K per year, based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Execute orders by confirming arrival times, coordinating with customs brokerage, inputting date, and dispatching deliveries.
• Retrieve shipment details, handle all documentation for cargo release and data entry for each shipment.
• Receive and track purchase orders from Importers/Overseas offices for pending air shipments.
• Obtain all necessary documentation from shipment carriers, match them with pre‐ advices and open file in the system.
• Issue delivery orders to carriers and arrange timely delivery.
• Monitor and trace lost freight and shortages; follow‐up with airlines/shipping lines and inform all parties involved.
• Communicate with and ensure release of the freight from air carries.
• Notify client/customs broker of arrival and charges due; provide accurate job costing forecast and perform bulling to client and/or other offices.
• Schedule and coordinate deliveries to the customer.
• Assure that each file contains all necessary documentation in sequence.
• Maintain logs, entries and import traffic.
• Billing to customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to maintain good relationships with customers and suppliers (air carriers, trucking companies, and others involved).
• Understand and can apply TSA regulations for moving air export cargo.
• Have knowledge of airport codes, carrier routings, geographic knowledge of key cities in each country.
• Detail orientated and strong follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good organizational and time management skills
