One of our clients, Global Pipe and Hose Manufacturing company, is currently looking for a Remote Regional Sales Account Manager. This position is full-time, exempt, direct hire, and salaried $60-80K per year, based on experience and in addition to commission. Company hours of operation are 8:00am- 5:00 pm CST, Monday- Friday.

This is a growing company and new products will be introduced from time to time.  As such, the RSM will work with various employees throughout the organization to learn about the products and then promote them within the assigned territories, at tradeshows and other similar venues.  When not traveling for business, this position will work from a home office.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Promote and manage distribution of Pipe products
  • Make calls to end users to bring sales company Distributors.
  • Garner the knowledge and skills to provide customers’ industrial pipe needs
  • This role works with Distributors to train and educate customers on our product solutions and keep them motivated to help drive continued business
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with clients in their territory, offering their clients a great deal of support and gaining their trust
  • Weekly, monthly sales and trend reports
  • Prepare and maintain records for sales leads and account status
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices and sales
  • Create a budget and work within the approved budget.
  • Occasionally work with Accounts Receivables for aged invoices
  • There may also be other duties as assigned.

Summary of Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
  • Previous experience in pipe sales required (i.e., storm drainage, combined sewer overflow, retention/detention, low head irrigation, culverts, slip lining, sanitary sewer mainline)
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Outside Sales or equivalent experience required
  • A valid Driver’s License with a clean record is required
  • Highly motivated, reliable, organized, detailed, flexible and focused self-starter
  • Ability to multi-task with strong time management, customer service, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office required.
  • Proficiency in sales management software programs is preferred
  • Ability to travel via various methods of transportation (auto, rail, plane, etc.) for attending trade shows/selling venues and service territory clients. Overnight travel requirement is approximately 50%, some may be outside the normal territory for sales team meetings, trade shows, etc.
