One of our clients, Plastic Automotive Part Manufacturing Plant, is looking for a Human Resources Manager. This position is Direct Hire and pays $65-75K. Relocation package available. 

Responsible to the administration of programs and policies relating to employee relations, benefits, staffing, and payroll in a non-union, automobile parts manufacturing plant. 

 Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.  
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department. 
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.  

 Summary of Responsibilities: 

  • Assure that a positive and orderly work environment by application of a consistent and fair approach to company policies as they relate to employees.  
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning. 
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.  
  • Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. 
  • Oversee and/or conduct safety training for new and current associates.  
  • Make management and employees aware of OSHA and ANSI standards.  
  • Conduct safety audits and oversee safety committee activities. 
  • Administration of medical, dental, life-insurance, short-term disability insurance, worker’s compensation, and other programs.  
  • Assist in the selection/negotiation of insurance carriers and programs. 
  • Conduct and participate in wage and benefit surveys.  
  • Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of bi-weekly payroll. 
  • Maintains files, reports, records, policies, and procedures as needed by the company and as required by law and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. 
  • Retains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. 

Summary of Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 
  • Three to five years in Human Resources Management. 
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws as they apply to Human Resources. 
  • Ability to interact with associates at all levels of the organization and with a variety of outside individuals, groups, businesses, and agencies. 
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
