One of our clients - a Global Manufacturing Company - is currently looking for a Customer Service Representative. This position is full-time, non-exempt, and paying up to $21 per hour based on experience.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day carrying out of manufacturing operations by:

  • entering orders
  • posting bills of lading
  • invoicing customers
  • handling customer returns and claims
  • verifying of processing of freight invoices
  • following up with customers and shippers with any questions or discrepancies
  • answering questions from customers via phone and/or email
  • processing all sample requests

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers via phone and e-mail by providing product information, inventory availability, pricing, order status
  • Resolve order problems, handle customer complaints by selecting and explaining the best solution and following up with customers to ensure resolutions and satisfaction
  • Responsible for support of Regional Sales Managers with order status, pricing, and providing marketing documents
  • Order entry: receive orders, review for accuracy, and enter into database
  • Process invoices and ensure accuracy on product pricing and special terms pricing
  • Handle claims regarding incorrect product, damaged product, etc. Master RMA’s in Customer Service role
  • File invoices, bills of lading (BOLs) in proper filing bin
  • Collaborate with shipping and production managers to ensure order fulfillment efficiency
  • Manage backorder log to drive order fulfillment
  • Process sample requests
  • Process returned goods authorizations (RGAs), coordinate with customer and issue credit memos
  • Assist in training new CSRs
  • Answer incoming phone calls and routing to appropriate department or person
  • May assist with updates in systems for customer accounts, pricing and other higher involved system changes and upgrades
  • Other duties as assigned

Summary of Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree (or equivalent) in a business-related field is preferable
  • Previous experience working in a related Customer Service role
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Individual must be reliable, organized, detail-oriented and focused
  • Ability to multi-task and strong time management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills required with an understanding that providing correct information is critical to their own as well as the company’s success
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Fluency in Spanish (verbal and written) is a plus
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing demands based upon business needs
