One of our clients, a global airline company, is looking for a Sales Account Manager for its cargo and mail services. This position is on-site and exempt at $68K per year.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Five years of related experience required.
- Experience in the Airline/Cargo or related industry required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively communicate in writing and speaking on a business level.
Summary Responsibilities:
- Monitor competitors’ activities and customer needs
- Analyze company’s strengths and weaknesses and implementing sales strategies reflecting this analysis
- Enforce Company procedures and requests with the Sales department staff
- Create tactics to maximize cargo revenue at each station
- Monitor Sales departments’ tactics, actions and sales figures and responding accordingly
- Direct involvement and liaising with shipping company personnel and the postal authority/department to insure procurement of mail tonnage and proper mail handling
- Making calls and meeting with customers on a local and executive-level basis of air cargo and mail business
- Propose rate and incentive deals for cargo and mail
- Monitor customer traffic to the company
- Acting as a liaison between headquarters and sales stations
- Develop and maintain relationships with heads of cargo agencies and postal authorities/departments
- Support overall sales and customer service efforts when appropriate
- Keep management aware of overall competitors’ activities, cargo and mail market developments, trends, GSA/customer demands and performance
- Conduct efficient communication as a liaison among GSA, and Company management
- Keep management aware of both cost and quality trends
- Review local cargo/mail sales needs and conduct necessary meetings with appropriate parties
- Aid in the proper forecast and preparation of bi-annual cost and target budgets
- Attend and organize various monthly, bi-annual, and annual sales meetings when appropriate
- Prepare various regularly and non-regularly occurring statistical and other reports in an accurate and timely
- Perform any other duties as directed by Company management
