SUMMARY: Interact with branch-location personnel to serve as a liaison between them and the company’s over-seas customers. This position provides information in response to external inquiries about the company’s products and services and to handle and resolve complaints arising from these inquiries.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES, not all inclusive:
- Confer with designated branch-employees by telephone or in person to provide information about Supplier Surveys (parts manufactured overseas), Corrective Actions (parts manufactured overseas), and PPAPs (for parts manufactured overseas). PPAP=production part approval process (PPAP) is a standardized form of documentation.
- Document information in the proper AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) format (standard forms to document project status).
- Prepare PPAP documentation, for parts manufactured in Ohio. (PFMEA, CP, Flow, Cap studies, etc.)
- Manage the Gage control / calibration system.
- Review manufacturing drawings and assign department specific check sheets,
- Complete weekly and monthly reports and charts,
- Maintain approved suppliers list, per ISO / IATF standards,
- Keep records of interactions or transactions; to include recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.
- Responsible for all record-keeping and control of documents, per ISO / IATF standards,
- File department documents, as required.
- Track supplies, gages, instruments, etc.. Replenish necessary items using the PO/Voucher system,
- Attend meetings as required.
- All other duties as assigned by Asst. Quality and Plant Managers.
Qualifications/Skills: Two (2) year degree (preferred) not required and 2 yrs. experience as an Administrative/Clerical Assistant OR High School diploma or GED equivalent +4 yrs. experience. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient in the use of micro-soft applications (word, excel, power-point, Outlook). Must be detail-orientated and possess excellent active-listening and critical-thinking abilities. Bi-lingual capability a plus; but not a pre-requisite. Working-knowledge of the use of calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, etc.; a plus. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and familiarity of IATF 16949 a plus.
