About the hiring company:
This company is a sales office for North America of an electric component manufacturer in
Japan. The company’s products are the electric component and related products for home
safety products.
Summary:
Due to increase of gas sensor demand, we are planning to increase capability for sales and
technical support activity. Therefore, we are looking for a person who has technical
knowledge of electronic circuit and experience of sales and technical support of electronic
components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
■ Sales & customer support activity
• Provide technical insights to help determine the right products for customers
• Communicate relevant technical knowledge to customers based on their needs
• Visit customer sites to evaluate and assist in the implementation of products and
provide training
• Testing returned products from customers and verify abnormality
• Provide troubleshooting on various technical issues, including defects and unstable
quality issues by investigating and providing analysis report with technical
countermeasures and solutions from our technical departments.
• Responsible for technical discussion with Japan engineering and R&D department
■ Marketing
• Analyze competitor products, compare their features/benefits to our products, and
make product improvement recommendations.
• Research and evaluate new technologies that can improve the products.
• Preparation and attendance of exhibition
• Responsible for presenting at exhibition
■ Activities in participating in technical committee meetings
• Responsible for searching and understanding technical standards relevant to our
products
• Participate in technical committee meetings such as UL STP, Canena, Nema, PGMA,
etc., and become involved in the development and revision of technical standards.

■ Education and/or Experience
• Associate’s degree or equivalent
• Educational background/work experience related to electronic circuits & electronic
components
• Experience with using lab equipment such as digital multimeters
• Experience in a US sales office of a Japanese manufacturer or a trading company is
preferred.
■ Language Skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
■ Mathematical Skills
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical
inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to
apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical
situations.
■ Computer Skills
• Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks - Inventory, Order Processing, Acrobat Pro,
Microsoft Power Point
