Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate shipments with the exporter / customer
• Data entry including data to US Customs and other government agencies
• Seamless coordination among Operations, Management & Sales Departments
• Arrangements with Warehouse department for receiving & shipping
• Establish rapport with carriers, airlines, and trucking companies in order to obtain competitive rates and have our presence known
• Maintain and develop business relationships with clients
• Verify air & ocean bills of lading, various export documents and AES filing using Export systems.
• Physically attend warehouse area to oversee inbound and outbound shipments.
• Keep updated on ever changing rules and regulations relative to transportation, TSA / DOT / IATA / U.S. Customs / FDA / Homeland Security and other governmental agencies as related with our industry
• Ensure the accuracy of all documents
• Approve vendor invoices and process for payment

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of export experience preferred
• Forklift experience is a huge plus
• Working knowledge of Incoterms
• Excellent customer service skills
• Focused attention on details
• Excellent organizational / communication skills
• Basic working knowledge of computers
• Japanese language skill is a plus
