Primary Responsibilities:
Request Quotes from Existing and New Customers:

Issue RFQs (Request for Quotations) to suppliers after receiving inquiries from customers

Collect product price quotations and terms and conditions from suppliers

Negotiate price and specifications with suppliers
-
Present quotations to customers and close orders for projects
Retain and Expand Existing Customers:
-
Maintain relationships with existing customers and build trust
-
Obtain information on new programs the customer has and acquire quotes for products we can supply, leading to new opportunities

Provide consultation on existing products manufactured by the customer, address problems with products from other companies, and encourage the customer to switch to our products

Increase customer satisfaction through problem-solving and support
Finding New Suppliers:

Conduct exhibitions or company visits and select supplier candidates

Negotiate NDAs and purchase terms
Acquisition of New Customers:
-
Identify and approach potential customers
-
Clearly communicate product or service features and benefits, and propose solutions tailored to customer needs

Negotiate to generate demand and close the deal
Market Research and Competitive Analysis:

Gather and analyze U.S. market trends and competitive information
-
Participate in the development of sales strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the market
Reporting and Recording:
-
Accurately record sales activities and customer information
-
Submit reports on sales results and market trends to the sales manager and other relevant personnel
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.)

College degree or equivalent experience

Upper-intermediate to advanced Japanese language skills (required)

Willingness to travel outside Illinois frequently (50%-60% travel; initial office work with gradual field work alongside another Sales Representative)

Willingness to participate in online meetings with customers located in Korea, China, Japan, and other European countries (these meetings are normally scheduled after work hours)
Required Experience:

Minimum 1 year of B2B Sales experience (preferred, B2C not acceptable)

Sales experience (preferred)

Business experience in the U.S. market (preferred)
