Job Summary

We're currently supporting the U.S. headquarters of a Japanese manufacturing solutions company. The Outside Sales Representative will focus on new business development, maintaining key accounts, and managing the full sales cycle with both Japanese-owned and U.S. local manufacturers. The role involves frequent customer visits and requires strong communication skills and the ability to understand basic technical concepts.

Responsibilities

Prospect for new and existing customers using diverse outreach methods.
Plan and execute sales strategies to meet revenue goals.
Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations; follow up with key decision makers.
Handle all phases of the sales process: inquiries, quotations, samples, negotiations, payments.
Communicate regularly with management regarding sales pipeline and progress.
Conduct 12+ face-to-face customer visits per month.
Create customer visit plans and obtain managerial approval.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and industry conditions.
Participate in networking and professional development activities.
Monitor competitors and recommend improvements to products/services.
Resolve customer issues and document findings.
Understand the process of creating and requesting technical drawings/specs.
Submit timely customer visit reports.
Update CRM opportunities and forecasts weekly.

Qualifications

3–5 years of outside sales experience preferred.
Experience with technical or engineering-related products is a strong plus.
Engineering knowledge or technical aptitude strongly preferred.
Frequent business travel required (approx. once per week).
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
Native-level English required.
