GENERAL SUMMARY
The Travel Agent is responsible for generating profit by handling all passenger travel services, providing top-notch customer service while keeping a professional attitude in all respects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Travel Arrangements
a) Arranges all services related to client travel e.g. air, hotel, car, individual, group, Visa processing
b) Accompanying responsibilities: Issues invoices and collects payments, processes documents, reports travel data, makes estimations, etc.
2. Exemplary Customer Service
Provides desired service to satisfy different type of customers’ needs
Responds promptly, professionally and accurately to customer requests
3. Professional attitude
a) Gathers knowledge of the travel industry and acquires technical skills through self-initiative
b) Makes recommendations and proposals to clients
c) Keeps the company sales target and profit in mind

2. Volume of Work
Number of passengers per month (standard: 100+ per Agent/Month), this standard does not apply to HRA or Call Center

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), or some related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Global Distribution System (GDS) skills are a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to operate a computer, knowledge of PC applications such as Email, Word, and Excel. PowerPoint is a plus
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to understand, read, speak and write in both English and Japanese on a business level
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT
• Regular phone and Email contact with all related parties
• Bilingual environment (English and Japanese)
• May be asked to travel or work overtime occasionally
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time and lift a minimum of 20 #’s unassisted
