General Position Summary
This position is responsible for receiving and shipping products, including inspecting products after receiving and placing products in containers according to the order. This position is also responsible for coordinating the entire warehouse’s tasks including control of the storage areas, inventory controls, organizing materials, supplies, etc.

Essential Job Functions
• Receives and unloads incoming products and compares quantities shown on packing slips to actual items received and original purchase orders.
• Inspects items and reports damaged products to the supervisor.
• Uses dolly or carries products to proper storage place within the warehouse.

• Gathers products from the warehouse shelves and places them in containers according to the order.
• Compares identifying information and quantities on the packing slip against the purchase order, counts items for verification, and indicates any discrepancies.
• Notifies the supervisor when major discrepancies occur, over-shipments, or substitutions have been made.
• Marks and labels containers, container tags, or products using marking tools.
• Measures, weighs, and counts products and materials.
• Folds boxes for shrink wrapping.
• Makes sure to meet the shipping inquires in a timely manner.
