Summary of Requirements:

  • Builds and maintains good relationships with assigned customers through periodical contacts of outside-sales activities by phone, e-mail, web meeting or physical visit.
  • Establishes sufficient and periodical on-site presence to be known by key decision makers of customers (e.g. purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and management).
  • Responsible for business growth of assigned customers while exploring their needs and actively seeking opportunities for another business.
  • Secures opportunities to quote on customer requirements and follows up on quotations submitted to customers.
  • Contacts customers to discuss their needs and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products or services of Company.
  • Coordinates company technical engineering support and services to satisfy customers' needs.
  • Assesses the needs of customers and exploits the opportunities for future business.
  • Supports building sales plans and pricing strategies based on expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products related to assigned accounts.
  • Negotiates prices and terms of contracts with customers and suppliers as appropriate.
  • Generates and maintains a credible forecast for the assigned accounts and territories or segments. Provides the information to management on a regular basis.
  • Ensures that customers are fully satisfied with all aspects of our products and services.
  • Prepares reviews and analyzes sales report periodically as directed by management.
  • Plans and schedule to visit assigned customers as sales contact window of the Company
  • Manages sales pipeline to drive new business opportunities toward commercial success.
  • Attends trade shows and other events to grow the Company’s business and represents the Company in any occasions as needed.
  • Stays abreast of industry news and trends, products, competitors, and other market situation; and works with management to identify business opportunities.
  • Assists in the development of business strategies (primary market research, competitive analysis, fit analysis, etc.)
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.

Summary Responsibilities:

  • Highschool diploma/GED Required; College degree a plus.
  • 3+ years of sales or account management experience.
  • Japanese cultural/language ability a plus
  • Willingness to travel for business needs (Midwest; aproximately 6 days monthly)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal skills
  • Strong persuasion/negotiation skills
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Valid driver’s license
