One of our clients - a Global Manufacturing Company - is currently looking for an Inside Sales Representative. This position pays $18-20 per hour, is non-exempt, full-time.

Essential Duties

  • Act as an extension of the Outside Sales team to proactively grow business.
  • Create and deliver new sales opportunities by compiling lists of prospective customers, based on information from newspapers, business directories, internet, networking, and other sources.
  • Cold-call prospects that are generated by external sources of lead.
  • Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process.
  • Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within client base.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support: monitoring transactions through completion (collections, discrepancies, making changes).
  • Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects and overcome objections of prospective customers.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge. Consult with Quality and Production departments to support the needs of existing and prospective customers.
  • Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients.
  • Follow-up with existing customers via telephone and e-mail.
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
  • Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
  • Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database.
  • Conduct presentations at customer-site to grow sales in areas of opportunity, as necessary (on a solo basis and in conjunction with Outside Sales).
  • Attend sales training, demonstrations, shows, conventions, and meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet company goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • University or college degree or combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
  • Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management.
  • Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers.
  • Knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques, a plus.
  • Strong problem resolution skills.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and Enthusiastic
  • Basic Mathematical skills
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Lift a minimum of 25 pounds
